Questions people ask

Is the portrait a real photograph?

No. It is generated by an AI model from the photograph you upload, and we say so on the page, on the result screen and in the file we print. The animal in the portrait is theirs; the light, the background and the framing are made.

How do I get a photo of someone else’s pet without ruining the surprise?

Most people take one from the owner’s own social media, or ask a family member to send a couple from their camera roll. Any photo where the face is visible and the eyes are open will work — it does not need to be a good photo.

What if I pick the wrong size or the wrong format?

You choose the format after you have seen the portrait, not before. Print, canvas, framed print and framed canvas are all shown with their price at that point.

Can I order it for a specific date?

You can order whenever you like, and most US addresses receive their order in 4 to 6 days once it ships. We do not promise a delivery date, so if it is for an occasion, give yourself a margin.

Can I put two pets in one portrait?

Upload a photo with both in frame and they both stay in the portrait. If they are in separate photos, order a portrait for each — hung side by side they read as a pair.

What happens to the photo I upload?

It is used to generate the portrait and nothing else. It is not published, not sold, and not used to train anything. See the privacy page for the detail.
